Ch.Sarantuya: Colder winter this year

Even though the coldest months of the year is yet to come, temperature in some regions exceeded -30 Celsius during night time. Professional at the Weather Forecasting Institution Ch.Sarantuya said the prognosis made in August shows this winter is likely to have more snowfall and be colder than average.

Bayan-Ulgii, Khovd, Gobi-Altai, Uvs and Zavkhan provinces will experience colder climate in December and January, but during the end of the winter temperature is likely to be 1-1.5 degrees warmer than average.

Ch.Sarantuya also said 60 percent of the country’s landscape is likely to have hard winter. Colder days are continuing longer this November.
