Standing Committee to study foreign deals of banks

Z.Enkhbold, Head of the Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy, and S.Oyun, one of its members, have reported that the Committee met 15 times during the Autumn session of Parliament. It favored amendments to the Military Force Law to allow establishment of a military division specialized in construction and engineering, and also approved the Mongolian stand in its bid to secure loans for its energy projects from international institutions. Mongolia is seeking USD10 million for the Metropolitan Electricity Distribution Network Company.

The Standing Committee plans to study the regulations governing Mongolbank’s  supervision of foreign deals entered into by commercial banks.
